The nymph held a hand up to her eyes, shielding them from the burning light of the sun so that she could better survey the land around her. Where was she? She had spent most of her childhood exploring these hills, and yet somehow she had stil managed to lose herself as she made her way from Lorwynne to Laliwyn. She supposed that was part of the problem; she had never been outside of her hometown.
But now her parents had grown tired of having her about the house, and so had sent her away. Somewhat sulkily stopping in her tracks, Tari sighed heavily and dumped her pack on the ground before flinging herself down after it onto a grassy tunnock. Not the most comfortable bed she'd ever laid down on, but a good deal less painful than lying on rock.
The heat of the midday sun was fierce, too hot for many, but this fire nymph gladly soaked in the warmth. She knew she couldn't stay here long, her skin was too fair to allow for it, but she felt that she deserved a break. She'd been travelling a long while now, ad she knew she would wuickly grow frustrated if she continued to wander recklessly about, not having the faintest clue where she was going. If only she had taken her father's advice, and travelled by night, the stars could have guided her. But she was just too impatient.
Growing bored, the nymph stood hastily up again, pausing to let a slight headrush pass and then grabbing her pack. Taking a swig of water, she looked nervously around her.
Which way shoul she go..?

Valeran had been headed for home when he saw the young nymph. After leaving things at the school in his second's hands he had taken his leave, it had been three years since he had seen home and he found that with every mile he grew closer the more he longed to see it once again. Thus he was in the hills near the nymph town of Lorwynne and saw the the nymph.
Admittedly he found nymphs to be too flighty in most cases although he had to admit to never being bored in their company. So he approached carefully so as to alarm her. "Hello, are you alright?" he asked, his voice soft and melodic as was that of most elves, and he came no closer then ten feet. He tried to ignore the sun that beat down upon him and although he wanted to help, if she needed it, he did not want to remain in the harshness of the miday sun for too long as his skin was fair and burned easily.

Tari jumped slightly, surprised by the elf who approached her. Trying to look composed, she smiled in greeting. "Good morning!" She said brightly. "I'm... A little lost actually." She hesitated as she noticed him keeping his distance. "I don't bite." She grinned wolfishly. "So where are you headed to? If I'm perfectly honest, I have no idea wwhere I am, so any help at all would be really appreciated..." She added hopefully.
Running a hand through her thick, glossy hair, the nymph rubbed her skin; it was already a little sore from the sun. That would teach her to lounge out all day... She looked curiously at the stranger, taking in his long dark hair and muscular frame; he seemed to be quite athletic. A warrior, perhaps? She was unsure. But she was light, and fast - if he was any danger to her, she was fairly certain she could get away quickly.
"I'm Alatariel, by the way." She said, holding out a hand.

Valeran smiled in response "And good morning in return" he replied and couldn't help but chuckle at her small joke. It was nice to meet friendly people every once and while, considering most people would not even nod in greeting.
"I am headed to Lorwynne and I believe we are in the hills a few miles out of said town. So now the question is: where do you wish to go?" He asked in his mild voice, carefully watching her reaction, although he doubted that she would attack him or anything so extreme but rather he was curious how a nymph could be lost so near their home town. Although it was not his place to question the actions of others.
However subconsciously his imbedded training took over as he studied the way she held herself, any weapons she may have carried, which foot she favoured and a myriad of other details that his conscious mind paid no heed to. "And I am Valeran, a pleasure to meet you" he said, taking her hand in a quick grasp and soon let go.

Alatariel nodded, and pondered over this information. She certainly couldn't return to Lorwynne so soon after leavig her home, but, then again, she was hopelessly lost...
"Anywhere really." She said thoughtfully, before ruefully adding, "Except Lorwynne actually. Please, if you could just point me in the direction of any town - Laliwyn, or Southglass, either would be great! Thank you." She smiled.
She noticed him looking at her precious sword, and her hand instinctively went to it. It was just about the only weapon she could use, one that had been forged in the volcano a little way from her home, and one which was light enough for her light frame to handle. The silver glittered brightly in the sunshine, and she looked proudly down at it. She was good with this sword, and would fight to the death over it.
Running a hand lightly over the warm metal where it had been heated by the sunshine, she wondered about Valeran's interest in the weapon. "You're a soldier, then?" She asked, catching him him assessing her form as a fighter herself.
