Training[/u]
When you first join the Bowmen as a "New Flightsman", you are trained to use the shortbow. In order to master this weapon, you must complete a series of classes, each of which trains a different area of the skills needed to handle the bow:
1) Strength Training
2) Marksmanship
3) Stealth and Skills
4) Riding (Mounted marksmanship)
5) Advanced Marksmanship
6) Longbow Training
You must complete one training session of 500 words in each of these classes. The Captains in the Army are responsible for training you in each of these classes - one Major is assigned to each class (Until Captains are appointed, I will supervise these training sessions). Once you have completed all of these classes you are known as an Elite Bowman.
Once you have reached the level of Elite Bowman, you may wish to train to use any of three additional weapons - twin knives, daggers, or the elven longsword. The Majors in the Army are responsible for training you in these classes, in the same way as the Captains train the New Flightsmen. To master a new weapon, you must make two training posts of 800+ words in each training thread.
If you master all three of these weapons, you are then eligible to train with the Army General (That's me to become a Scout. Scouts go on additional missions which may take them all around Daitheria, checking up on the political and military standings of the other towns in Daitheria. To gain this status you must complete three sessions with me of 750+words each.
